Mexican Cacti, Skull, Orchids in Blue. This painting is based on lush Mexican mysterious landscapes. The collaged images include a yellow Dahlia which is printed from my photograph, other prints of flowers and Mexican tin decorations of Cacti and the eye of a skull. These Milagros adorn the church walls of Mexico, the small silver of gold votive offering in the shape of body parts, animals, foods and houses. Milagros would have traditionally been given to a saint with hope or to give thanks for a prayer answered.
