Photographic Print. Mexican Festival Parade Horses Scewbald and Palamino resting off 24th Street. Mission. San Francisco.
I was fascinated by these two horses, a Scewbald with a wall eye and a Palamino. They were so beautiful but also full of character, grace, serene in the commotion and noise. The Mexican cowboys seemed to love their horses and were happy to have their photographs taken. It was the César Chávez Holiday Festival Parade which celebrates and pays tribute to the life and work of labour leader César E. Chávez.
