Photographic Print. Whiz Burgers Drive-In at 700 South Van Ness Street+18th, Mission District, San Francisco.
Despite it's peeling paint, its a wonderfully iconic retro neon sign and Coca-Cola sign with the interesting, incongrous backdrop of a church with a gold dome and cross. A basic but charming wooden shack which was established in 1955, serving authentic American drive-in food such as burgers, fries, hot dogs and great real banana milkshakes, great to drink while seated at the swivel bar stools on a hot day in the Mission neighbourhood.
