Photographic Print. Mythological deity figures and Unicorn fresco on the souvenir shop, Battery Square, Portmeirion.
This Classical style mural is by Hans Nathan Feibusch, 1898 - 1998, a German-Jewish artist who settled in England in 1933 and joined the London Group of artists in 1934. This is a Unicorn with a King or Neptune perhaps, dramatically framed by the arch of the souvenir shop which was used as the house of Number 6, played by Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner. Feibusch painted several at Portmeirion including the ceiling of Mythological gods under the Gate House.
Colours are as accurate as possible but may differ slightly due to screen calibrations.
