I read somewhere that Robin Llywelyn, managing director of the Portmeirion, said of McGoohan "He came across as very charming and very pleasant. I also have letters he wrote to my grandfather. He said he had fond
memories of the village and his time here, and he said he had some of
the Portmeirion pottery. What he created out of The Prisoner at Portmeirion is a lasting
piece of TV at its best - it achieved cult status. It's something that
we are very proud of."
